Our Beginning

Why We Started Teaching

It's easy to feel lost when you first pick up a digital drawing tablet. We've been there. Back in 2019, we noticed something frustrating — most online courses skip the basics or move too fast. Beginners got confused. Some quit. Others wasted months figuring things out alone.

Cardothos OÜ started because we believed drawing skills shouldn't be gatekept behind expensive workshops or scattered YouTube tutorials. We wanted to build something structured but practical. Evening courses, because real people have day jobs. Small groups, so we can actually help when you're stuck.

Today, we're focused on vector illustration and tablet fundamentals. We've trained over 200 students since we opened. Some moved into freelance work. Others just wanted to improve their hobby. But everyone who completes our courses walks away understanding their tools and confident in their technique.

What we don't do is promise instant results. Drawing takes practice. What we do is make sure you're practicing the right way, with instructors who remember what it felt like to be confused.

How We Work

Practical Training for Real Beginners

We don't overwhelm. We build step by step — from tablet setup to vector shapes to actual illustration work. Each session has theory, but mostly we draw. A lot.

Hands-On Learning

We're not lecturing at you for two hours. You'll spend most of class actually drawing. Mistakes happen, and that's where we help.

Small Groups

Maximum 10 students per session. This isn't a lecture hall. We know everyone's name and see exactly where they're struggling.

Evening Scheduling

Classes run 19:00–20:30, Monday through Thursday. Built for people working during the day who want to learn at night.

Real Progress Tracking

Every few weeks we review your work and adjust the pace. Not everyone learns at the same speed, and that's fine.

Vector and Raster Both

You'll learn when to use vector illustration versus raster. Different tools for different jobs. We cover both properly.

Industry Standards

We teach with Procreate, Affinity Designer, and Adobe software — the tools actual illustrators use daily.

Everyone Can Learn This

You don't need natural talent to become competent at digital illustration. You need instruction, repetition, and patience. We've seen complete beginners create professional-looking work in 8-10 weeks.

Fundamentals Matter More Than Shortcuts

Don't jump straight to brushes and filters. Master the basics first — composition, line weight, color theory, how your tablet actually works. Everything else builds on that.

Feedback Is Essential

Drawing alone is hard. You can't see your own mistakes sometimes. We'll give you honest, specific feedback every session — what's working and what needs adjustment.

Consistency Beats Intensity

Two hours every week beats cramming 20 hours into one weekend. Your brain needs time to process what you're learning. That's why we stick to regular evening sessions.
